Traditional Slippers

The traditional Qwich'in Slippers are made of smoke tanned moose hidewith muskrat trim and exquisite beadwork. This pair are an excellent example of the footwear. They were made by Mary Kendi of Aklavik, NWT. The beadwork is in the very common flower pattern found in the Mackenzie Delta area.

In this pair the beadwork extends around the heel of the slipper. They are sized at about a North American Men's Size 10.
